Senate Bill 359, P.N. 273 (Greenleaf) Provides for truancy prevention and enforcement, including attendance improvement conferences to identify the root causes of truancy.
- Amendment A06231 – Summary, will be offered by Sen. Lloyd Smucker. This language incorporates the recommendations of the Truancy Advisory Committee of the Joint State Government Commission and the Educational Success and Truancy Prevention Workgroup of the AOPC.
House Bill 1574, P.N. 2268 (Marsico) Requires schools to take action against hazing. The bill will expand Pennsylvania’s anti-hazing law to apply to public and private secondary schools, as well as to organizations not affiliated with schools in which students still participate, such as private athletic leagues.
