HARRISBURG – Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane, agents from the Child Predator Section, Sen. John Rafferty (R-44) and members of the House of Representatives will meet Wednesday in Upper Providence with local, county and state law enforcement stakeholders to discuss efforts to combat child predators and unveil a new state forensics truck.
The roundtable discussion will take place Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Upper Providence Community Hall, 1301 Black Rock Road, Phoenixville (across the street from the township building). A news conference will follow at 10:30 a.m.
Nearly two dozen government and law enforcement officials from surrounding municipalities are expected to attend, including representatives from the Fraternal Order of Police and the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, state Reps. Mike Vereb (R-150) and Warren Kampf (R-157), and Montgomery County Commissioners Leslie Richards (D) and Bruce Castor (R).
Members of the media will be able to tour the forensics truck and talk with agents following the press conference.
